Typical Steps in the Project Life Cycle

Project lay-out:  Direction GTMS is guiding the project

Audit:  What is your current situation (Aids in establishing benchmarks)

Routing / Mode evaluations: Analysis of routing guide and complete mode evaluation of current position on transportation

Modeling supply chain:  This is done when we do a complete Supply Chain Evaluation

Involvement:  How much time do you want to spend with GTMS throughout the project

Minimal disruption to the operations, very little time involvement

Review and establish benchmarks
Both parties must agree on the benchmark before the project can move forward (starting point)

Move forward plan:  Step by step layout of next action items to accomplish in project

Complete plan of action on how to move forward to execution

Updates:  Continual updates on the status of the project to the appointed contact personnel

  Progress on the overall project

Final results:  What efficiencies were created and what savings will you realize

Implementation of project findings

Continual evaluation and analysis throughout the Project Life Cycle to optimize cost savings
